About Us

Who

For over twenty-five years company director Richard O’Sullivan has coached players of all ages in the school, club and representative environments. This experience has given him the tools and expertise to be able to produce top-quality cricket coaching resources that are held in high regard around the world. To the extent where the International Cricket Council, the global governing body of the game, have adopted some of the resources to help develop the game worldwide.

Richard himself and his large coaching team deliver cricket in schools and clubs throughout the year and this plays a major part in the success of Teach Cricket’s resources.  This daily experience provides the in-depth knowledge of how clubs and schools operate and the realistic everyday demands placed on teachers, coaches and administrators.  We then create resources that work for YOU and the players you coach.

Why

At Teach Cricket we are passionate about improving the standard of cricket delivery in schools and clubs. In schools cricket is often perceived to be a difficult sport to understand and teach, and can often therefore be neglected. In clubs, where often willing volunteers are the coaching resource, we constantly see a need for fresh innovative age/skill appropriate ideas, drills and methods that can motivate and develop players.

It is wonderful to see the joy on young people’s faces when cricket is delivered in a fun, inclusive and inspiring way.  Our resources are tried and tested, simple and realistic to your environment, making it possible for you to excite this next generation of cricketers.

What

The first resource to be created was Teach Cricket, a project Richard undertook with Robert Thomas in 1992 to create a user-friendly and practical resource to help teachers and coaches introduce and develop the game. Since its publication, Teach Cricket has sold over 20,000 copies worldwide and has been adopted by the International Cricket Council as a global development programme resource. Two other resources have subsequently been produced, ICC Cricket and Box Cricket: please click the menu above to find out more about each of these resources.

As we operate daily in various cricket coaching environments we are also ideally placed to provide a range of physical coaching resources for training and matches.  All these resources are things we use regularly and that add that extra value to lessons and club sessions.  See our Shop for more information.
